Leader Plaza

Published Oct 16, 2026

The Leader plaza lists the public signal sources (lead traders) you can follow on AlphaFox. Compare returns and drawdown over a window, open Trader DNA to check the record, then follow on paper or with your own trading account. Open it at Plaza → Leader plaza; it is the page Plaza opens on.

Want to copy the parameters of a strategy someone runs on AlphaFox instead of following a leader? Use the Leaderboard.

What’s on the page

Featured leadersLeaders picked by AlphaFox, sometimes with a short description. Their curve and metrics always use the All-time window and ignore the window selector below
Leader plazaEvery public signal source, with search, filters, and sorting; more cards load as you scroll to the bottom

Reading a card

  • Identity: exchange logo and name. Copy Connection sources carry a “Copy Connection” badge; newly listed sources show “New”.
  • Returns: ROI for the selected window, then PnL, max drawdown, and win rate.
  • Following: follower count when available, otherwise AUM (Hyperliquid sources show no AUM).
  • Curve: the ROI curve for the selected window.

Vetting a leader

Click an empty area of a card to open the Trader DNA panel without leaving the plaza. It has these tabs:

Position HistoryClosed positions and their PnL
Trade PointsWhere entries and exits landed on the chart
Order FlowFill-by-fill records

The two card buttons

Each card has two buttons in its top-right corner. Clicking them never opens Trader DNA.

ButtonWhat it does
PaperOpens the “Create a paper strategy” confirmation. Click Create and AlphaFox reuses or creates an AlphaFox Paper account, creates and starts a copy strategy that follows this leader, then takes you to the new strategy
FollowOpens the “Follow this strategy” dialog, where you pick the trading account first: paper or live

Both need a signed-in account. If you’re signed out, you go to the login page and come back to the plaza afterward.

Using the Follow dialog

Click Follow on a card

The dialog is titled “Follow this strategy”, with the leader name and strategy type underneath.

Pick a Trading account

A reusable AlphaFox Paper account is selected by default if you have one. To trade live, switch to one of your connected trading accounts; accounts already used by another strategy can’t be picked. No account yet? Use Add trading account in the list; see Connect an Exchange.

Check the cost

After you pick a live account, an estimated cost appears: “Included in plan” or an hourly price. Paper accounts show no estimate.

Click Follow

“Follow started” means the strategy was created and has already started. Click View strategy to open it.

New strategies use the default settings: 100% copy ratio, both long and short. To change the ratio, side, or coin limits, edit the config in My Strategies, or build a copy strategy by hand from Strategy → Create strategy; see Follow a Leader.

Copy trading follows only the leader’s new opens and closes; it does not open their current positions. A leader’s past returns are not yours: slippage, latency, account size, and funding rates all change the result. For a new leader, run Paper for a while before going live.

Troubleshooting

The Follow button is greyed out? Pick an active trading account that no other strategy is using and whose exchange fits the strategy, then wait for the cost estimate to load. If the estimate fails, click Retry next to it.

Paper says creation failed? The dialog shows the reason, for example “Could not create the paper strategy. Try again.” Click Create again later; if it keeps failing, use Follow and pick a paper account yourself.

The list is empty? No public source has data for this window. Try another window, or set Exchange and Source type back to All.
