Trading Terminal
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 21, 2026
The Trading Terminal is a workspace for Hyperliquid perpetuals: the native book and all builder DEXes except cash and markets settled in USDT0. USDC, USDH and USDE markets retain their own collateral and DEX identity; para:UNITREE and xyz:UNITREE are separate instruments. Market data, leader signals, AI analysis, and your own accounts share one screen, in widgets you can add, split, and drag freely. Entry: Trade.
Market data comes straight from Hyperliquid in your browser, so you can watch without signing in. Manual trading needs you signed in with a Hyperliquid trading account (a built-in trading account or a wallet you bound); see Trading Accounts to set one up.
The order ticket uses the selected market’s collateral. Balances and position totals keep unlike collateral separate rather than assuming every token equals one USD. Existing excluded holdings remain visible in account data; they do not become selectable new-order markets.
What you can and can’t do
| You want to | Possible? | Requires |
|---|---|---|
| Watch prices, charts, book, trades, funding, liquidations, leaderboard | Yes | Nothing; works signed out |
| Read leader signals, KOL intel, news | Yes | Nothing; works signed out |
| See your positions, orders, fills, balances, transfers | Yes | Signed in with a Hyperliquid trading account |
| Place orders, change leverage, close, cancel | Yes | A screen at least 1024 px wide and an account that accepts manual orders (see “Checks before an order goes out” below) |
| Run AI price action | Yes | Your own OpenAI-compatible endpoint |
| Let the AI place orders | No | The AI can only fill the order ticket; you choose the size and make the final click |
| Trade on a phone or narrow window | No | Below 1024 px the terminal is read-only |
Layout
From 1024 px wide, the terminal has four parts:
| Area | What’s there |
|---|---|
| Top bar | Current market (click to open the market picker), mark price, oracle price, 24h change, funding rate with a countdown to the next settlement, open interest, 24h volume, plus Layouts and Add widget |
| Workspace | Panels, each holding one or more widgets as tabs |
| Order ticket (right) | The account switcher beside the Order heading, then the order form; drag the border on its left to resize it, double-click to reset |
| Status strip (bottom) | Hyperliquid connection status and round-trip latency (measured every 30 seconds), and the Market tape: your watchlist (the busiest markets until you star some); click an entry to switch market. While waiting to reconnect it offers Reconnect now |
Every widget follows the current market, except a price chart pinned to a coin (see “Price chart” below). The market picker lets you browse All / Watchlist / individual DEXes, search, and star markets into your watchlist. You can also open a market directly, e.g. /en/dashboard/trade?coin=para%3AUNITREE; direct links follow the same market exclusions.
Pick a preset layout
Open Layouts
Click Layouts in the top bar to open “Choose a layout”.
Pick a preset
| Preset | Top | Bottom |
|---|---|---|
| Trading (default) | Price chart; Order book, Trades | Positions, Open orders, Leader signals, Fills, Order history, Balances, My strategies |
| Signals | Price chart; KOL intel, News | Leader signals, Positions, Hyperliquid leaderboard, Liquidations, Trade flow |
| AI | Price chart; AI price action, Order book | Positions, Open orders, Leader signals |
Click Use on the preset.
Confirm
In “Replace with the … layout?”, click Replace layout. The workspace switches to the new arrangement.
Replacing the layout overwrites your current widgets and arrangement. This can’t be undone.
The layout, current market, watchlist, selected account, ticket width, chart intervals, chart overlay switches, pinned charts, and account-table filters are saved in this browser first and apply right away. Signed in, they also sync to your account: on another device, whichever copy changed last wins, and a coin named in the link (such as ?coin=ETH) still takes priority over the synced market. Signed out, they stay in this browser only.
Add, move, and split widgets
Add a widget
Click the + at the right of a panel’s tab strip to add to that panel, or Add widget in the top bar to add to the panel you last clicked. In the widget catalog, search or filter by All / Portfolio / Feed / Alpha / Charts / Tools, then click a card.
Drag to dock
Drag a widget tab. Drop it near a panel’s edge (the outer quarter on each side) to split a new panel off on that side; drop it in the middle of a panel or on its tab strip to join that panel. The landing spot is highlighted while you drag; press Esc to cancel.
Split or close
Right-click a tab and choose Split right, Split down, or close. A middle click also closes a tab. A panel’s only tab can’t be split.
Resize
Drag the line between two panels; double-click it to split evenly. With the line focused, arrow keys nudge it.
- Only Price chart can be open more than once. Any other widget that’s already open shows Added in the catalog, and clicking it brings it to front.
- Account widgets are marked Needs account in the catalog and ask you to sign in when you’re signed out.
- A panel whose last widget is closed or moved away collapses; the last remaining panel stays, empty.
- Docking, splitting, and resizing don’t reload charts, so zoom and drawings stay. Moving a chart to another panel does reload it.
Widgets
| Category | Widgets |
|---|---|
| Charts | Price chart, Funding history, Price heatmap |
| Feed | Order book, Trades, Liquidations (live liquidations from Binance and Bybit perpetuals), News, KOL intel |
| Alpha | Leader signals, Strategies, AI price action, Hyperliquid leaderboard, Trade flow |
| Portfolio | Positions, Open orders, Fills, Order history, Balances, Transfers, Funding payments, My strategies |
| Tools | Markets, Watchlist, Position calculator |
- KOL intel shows the current coin by default; switch to All coins for everything.
- News says so when items have no coin tags yet and it is showing all the latest news.
- Hyperliquid leaderboard covers 24h / 7d / 30d / All; click an address to analyze it in Lead Trader Analysis.
- Position calculator sizes an order from equity in the selected market’s collateral, risk per trade, and a stop price. It doesn’t include fees or slippage.
- Order book ends with a footer over the shown levels: Bid total, Ask total, Bid − ask, and a bar showing each side’s share.
- Strategies lists public AlphaFox strategies with shared parameters that trade the current coin: ROI, return curve, and equity, with paper strategies marked “Paper”, best ROI first; switch between 7D and 30D. Follow opens the same copy dialog as the leaderboard; see Copy from the Leaderboard. It is not part of any preset layout, so add it from Add widget.
Price chart
The chart’s interval buttons offer only candle sizes Hyperliquid serves (no 6h). Four buttons sit on the left of its header. The first three are overlay switches: ● means shown, ○ means hidden. Each is on by default and applies to every terminal chart.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| ● Leaders / ○ Leaders | Shows or hides lead-trader fills |
| ● My fills / ○ My fills | Shows or hides the selected account’s own fills on this coin: buys below the candle, sells above; hover for side, size, price, and time |
| ● Price lines / ○ Price lines | Shows or hides the selected account’s position entry, liquidation price, and open-order lines; AI levels are not affected |
| Pin BTC / Unpin BTC (named after the chart’s coin) | Pins this chart to its coin. It keeps that market when you switch, and its tab reads “Price chart · BTC” |
AI price action’s entry, take-profit, stop, support, and resistance levels are drawn on the chart too.
Choose the account
The account switcher sits beside the Order heading of the order ticket. When there’s no ticket (narrow screen, signed out, or no account yet), it’s in the top bar. Accounts come in two groups:
- Built-in trading accounts: the Hyperliquid wallet AlphaFox opened for you (custodied).
- Bound accounts: an existing Hyperliquid wallet you bound.
An account running a strategy is marked “Strategy · name”. Manage trading accounts at the bottom of the list opens Account → Trading account. No account yet? Click Open Hyperliquid wallet.
Every account widget and the order ticket use the account selected here.
Place an order
Pick the market and account
Choose the market in the top bar and the account in the order ticket.
Set margin mode and leverage
Click the Cross / Isolated or leverage button at the top of the ticket, set them in “Adjust … leverage”, and click Apply. The change also applies to existing positions on that market. While you hold a position in the coin you can’t switch margin mode, but you can still change leverage.
Choose order type and side
Pick Market, Limit, TWAP, or Advanced (stop market, stop limit, take-profit market, take-profit limit), then Buy / Long or Sell / Short. For TWAP, see “TWAP orders” below.
Enter prices and size
Fill in the Trigger price and Limit price the type needs (Mid fills the mid price). Enter the Size in coins or the selected market’s collateral, or drag the slider to a share of the max order size. Limit orders take a TIF: Good til canceled (GTC), Add liquidity only (ALO), or Immediate or cancel (IOC).
Tick options if needed
Reduce only only shrinks an existing position. TP / SL lets market and limit entries carry take-profit and stop-loss triggers.
Review and submit
The top of the ticket, below the account switcher, lists the selected account’s Account value, Unrealized PnL, Cross margin ratio, Maintenance margin, and Cross leverage. After filling in the order, check Available to trade, Max order size, Order value, Required margin, Est. liq. price (estimated from Hyperliquid’s margin rules for the position the order leaves; -- while data is missing), Max slippage (market-style orders, 0.5% by default), and Builder fee, then click Buy … or Sell …. Under “Last order”, “Filled …” or “Order resting …” means it went through.
AlphaFox’s servers sign the order with the account’s existing trading authorization; private keys never reach your browser.
Close and cancel
- Close on a row of the Positions widget market-closes the whole position after you confirm Market close.
- The Open orders widget can Cancel one order or Cancel all after you confirm.
Like the ticket, these buttons appear only from 1024 px wide and on an account that accepts manual orders.
Positions, Open orders, Fills, and Order history share a Current market only checkbox; one setting covers every table. With more than one Hyperliquid account, Positions and Open orders also offer All accounts, which lists every account’s rows in one table with a leading account column; each row’s Close / Cancel acts on that row’s own account. Cancel all is offered only while the table lists the selected account alone.
TWAP orders
A TWAP splits one large order into sub-orders that Hyperliquid executes over a set running time.
- Pick TWAP in the ticket, enter the size (in coins or the selected collateral) and the Running time (a whole number of minutes from 5 to 1440; presets 30m / 1h / 4h / 24h), and tick Randomize and Reduce only if you need them. A TWAP has no price, TP/SL, TIF, or slippage settings.
- The ticket estimates the Sub-orders and Size per sub-order: Hyperliquid sends one every 30 seconds, and fewer, further apart when each would be too small, so the figures are approximate.
- An opening TWAP must be worth at least 100 in the selected collateral. Click TWAP buy … or TWAP sell … to submit.
- Running TWAPs live in the TWAP view of Open orders (toolbar switch Orders / TWAP), with executed / total size and progress, average price, elapsed / running time, and start time; each can be cancelled on its own. Cancel all cancels resting orders only, not TWAPs.
Checks before an order goes out
The submit button stays disabled, with the reason shown in the ticket, when:
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Enter a size / Enter a limit price / Enter a trigger price | Fill in the field |
| Size is below this market’s minimum lot | Increase the size |
| Order value must be at least 10 in the selected collateral | Increase the size |
| Size is above Hyperliquid’s current max order size | Lower the size or change the leverage |
| Enter a take-profit or stop-loss trigger | With TP / SL ticked, fill in at least one |
| Take profit must be on the profitable side of the entry / Stop loss must be on the losing side of the entry | Check the price direction |
| Max slippage must be between 0.01% and 5% | Adjust max slippage |
| No price yet to convert collateral into a size | Wait for prices to load, or enter the size in coins |
| Running time must be a whole number of minutes from 5 to 1440 | TWAP: use a whole number of minutes from 5 to 1440 |
| TWAP value must be at least 100 in the selected collateral | TWAP: increase the size |
When the account itself can’t trade manually, the ticket reads “This account is view-only for manual trading”. Reasons:
- A Lite strategy uses this account, and Lite accounts are view-only.
- Only connected, active Hyperliquid live accounts can place manual orders.
- This account has no master address or usable trading authorization. Re-authorize it in trading accounts.
Click Manage trading accounts to fix it.
Before you order, close, or cancel on an account a strategy is running on, the terminal asks you to confirm the risks (once per account in each browser):
- Cancels and closes also hit the strategy’s own orders and positions, which can throw it off or make it place new orders.
- The strategy’s stop-and-close closes every position on the account, including your manual ones.
- The strategy’s position alignment rewrites positions on the same symbol.
- Account-level stop lines read account equity, so manual PnL affects when they trigger.
- The strategy’s performance includes the PnL of manual trades.
If the account publishes an API Key signal source, followers copy your manual trades.
When the result doesn’t come back
If the network drops or a request times out, the terminal asks Hyperliquid for the order’s real state several times and shows “The server didn’t answer in time; this is the order’s actual state on Hyperliquid.” It never resubmits on its own. If it still says “Couldn’t confirm the order outcome”, check Open orders and Fills or click Check again before placing the order again.
A TWAP whose submission gets no answer is never resubmitted either; the terminal says “No answer for this TWAP. Check Open orders › TWAP to see whether it is running before you submit again.”
AI price action
AI price action reads the current market’s closed candles with Al Brooks price-action methodology and returns a structure read and a trade plan. It never places orders and is not a copy signal source.
Set up the AI
Click AI settings in the widget, enter your OpenAI-compatible Base URL, API Key, and Model, optionally click Test connection, then Save.
Run the analysis
Click Analyze. The entry, take-profit, stop, support, and resistance levels are drawn on the price chart.
Fill the order ticket (optional)
When the plan has a side and an entry, Fill order ticket appears at the bottom of the widget. Clicking it fills the ticket’s side, order type, prices, and TP/SL, and the ticket says “AI trade plan filled in. Enter a size and confirm.”
| AI plan | What the ticket gets |
|---|---|
| Limit order (限价单) | A limit order at the entry, with TP/SL |
| Market order (市价单) | A market order, with TP/SL |
| Breakout (突破单) | A stop-market order triggered at the entry; it can’t carry TP/SL, so set them on the position once filled |
| No trade (不下单) | No button |
The size is always left empty: you enter it and click submit yourself. The button appears only while an order ticket on screen can take the plan.
AI record
The widget’s History tab replays this coin’s saved plans against the candles that followed. The AI record at the top counts wins / losses / flats / unfilled / pending, the Hit rate (wins ÷ (wins + losses)), and the Avg R; each plan also shows its outcome and, once filled, its R. It covers only the last 100 analyses saved in this browser, and is an estimate that excludes fees and slippage.
Direction alerts
Direction alerts in the toolbar is off by default and is turned on per coin; the setting stays in this browser. Once on, each analysis is compared with the previous one; when the reading moves between bullish, bearish, and neutral, the terminal shows an in-page alert and a system notification (turning it on asks for notification permission). If you have a verified, enabled Telegram or webhook channel in Notification settings, the alert also reaches it while you’re away from the page, at most once per coin and timeframe every 10 minutes.
The API key is stored in plain text in this browser’s localStorage; use it only on your own device. The AI plan is reference only; judge the prices and size yourself before ordering.
Leader signals and one-click follow
The Leader signals widget lists tracked lead traders’ fills on the current market over the last 24 hours (side, size, notional, price, leverage, time). It refreshes every 30 seconds while the page is visible, and the All lead traders menu filters by trader.
- The DNA icon on a row opens that trader’s Lead Trader Analysis, so you can check their style before following.
- The rocket icon (Follow) opens the one-click follow dialog, which creates a copy strategy on one of your trading accounts; signed out, you’re asked to sign in first. Full steps: Follow a Leader.
- The price chart marks these fills on the candles; switch off ● Leaders on the chart if you don’t want them.
Phones and narrow screens
Below 1024 px wide:
- The market and account switcher stay at the top of the page, and a row of buttons below them switches panels, one panel at a time.
- Widgets can’t be split or dragged; the tab menu only closes.
- There’s no order ticket, no Close or Cancel buttons in the Positions and Open orders widgets, and no Fill order ticket in AI price action. The terminal is read-only; open it on a computer to trade.
