Strategy Not Starting or Stopped

Failed status, won’t start, or stopped mid-run? Check in order—most cases resolve in two minutes.
The checklist
Read the stop reason
The runtime status card on the detail page says why:
- Take profit / stop loss triggered: not a fault—your risk settings worked. Hit Start / restart to continue.
- Runtime failure: keep going below.
Check the site balance
Strategies beyond free slots bill hourly, and an empty balance stops them. Check the account strip on My strategies: top up or stop extra strategies.
Check the exchange connection
In Trading accounts, inspect the bound connection. Usual causes: revoked key, changed permissions, stale whitelist IP. Fix, Retry sync, restart the strategy.
Check subscription limits
After Pro expires, tier-gated parameters (e.g. Smart DCA 1h/2h/4h intervals) fail to start. Renew, or adjust parameters into the free range.
Check the exchange side
Enough margin? Exchange under maintenance? Position-mode switch blocked by open positions?
Start / restart resumes from the last snapshot and positions—history stays intact.
